We are a team of passionate volunteers from all walks of life and our association represents the grassroots of conservative voters in Brantford-Brant. We are working hard to re-elect our Member of Parliament, Phil McColeman, and help form another Conservative government in 2015.
The Conservative Government has worked hard to cut taxes, balance the budget, create jobs and build a stronger economy that delivers long-term prosperity. Our MP Phil McColeman has been a strong advocate for Brantford-Brant from within the Conservative government and has delivered vital support for local initiatives that our propelling our community forward.

Phil McColeman is the Member of Parliament for Brant. First elected in 2008, and re-elected in 2011, he has been a strong voice for Brantford-Brant in Ottawa.
Phil currently serves as Chair of Parliament’s Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities. He also serves as Chair of the Conservative Housing and Construction Caucus and Vice Chair of the Conservative Post-Secondary Education Caucus.
Since being elected, Phil has delivered vital support for projects that are revitalizing our community. A tireless advocate for the growth of post-secondary institutions in Brantford, he delivered federal funding for Laurier Brantford’s Academic and Research Centre and the new Laurier Brantford-YMCA Athletics and Recreation Complex. He has delivered funding for hockey arenas and community centres, local events and festivals like the St. George AppleFest and the Brantford International Jazz Festival, as well as support for growing local businesses, and critical infrastructure projects across Brantford, Six Nations and the County of Brant. He has supported transformational projects, like the clean-up and renewal of the Greenwich-Mohawk brownfield, and has worked to bring the community together to finally restore Mohawk Lake.
Phil is also well known for his commitment to exceptional services for his constituents and for his popular community initiatives like his Passport Clinics, Community Shred Days, and the widely successful Hockey Night in Brantford which has raised $272,000 to support the Brant United Way and its Member Agencies.
Prior to entering politics, Phil owned and operated property development and construction companies that specialized in residential and commercial renovation work. In this capacity, he received numerous industry awards and served as President for both the Brantford and Ontario Home Builder’s Association.
A lifelong resident of Brantford-Brant, Phil has demonstrated strong leadership and commitment to family, community and public service. He has served as Vice-Chair of the Brantford Police Services Board, Director of the Brantford Brant Regional Chamber of Commerce, Governor of Wilfrid Laurier University and Director and President of Lansdowne Children’s Centre.
Phil attended Brantford Collegiate Institute, received his undergraduate degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1976 and completed graduate studies at Kent State University in Ohio on a hockey scholarship. He is Married to Nancy, his wife of 40 years. They have 4 beautiful children; Sarah, Jessica, Lauren & Jordan, along with 4 grandchildren, Julia, Maggie, Erica & Martin.
